Good, bad or indifferent, I have been working in and among professional service firms for my entire thirty year career. I learned both sides of the professional services value proposition, business development (bd) and client experience (cx), at client-first firms like Raleigh-based architectural, engineering and planning firm Envirotek, Fortune 250 printing and communications conglomerate RR Donnelley (now DFIN Solutions), and multi-disciplined corporate law firm Wyrick Robbins.

As chief client officer, which effectively aggregates my years of experience in customer service, business development, sales, marketing, and client satisfaction, there is not much I haven’t seen or experienced. Like a big insurance company that advertises on tv, I know a thing or three because I’ve seen a thing or three. Not today, infringement police.

I’m a big LinkedIn guy, so that is the best place to learn about my professional path, philosophy and career. But, the more important aspects of my life are not contained there, unless you read some of my longer and less professional posts pinned at the top.

I’m a lucky husband who married my high-school sweetheart after a ten year courtship. I chased her until she caught me. We’re coming up on forty years together and she is a true partner in every sense of the word, even now, as she steps in to handle clienthaven’s finances.

I am also the proud father of three wonderful adult children who are in various stages of being a college student, a professional in the wealth management vertical, and a creative who is also launching a business.

If you want to learn more about my amazing family, or what motivates me outside of work, we can do that in person anytime! Just email me or find some time!
